Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I always did want to be Frank Sinatra...Luke wrote:I had to have the "Fedora talk" with a friend recently as he wore one at a recent get together. Fedora's are for three types of people:
1) Your everyday Douche Bag
2) Celebrity Douche Nozzles
3) Frank Sinatra
Seriously though, I like fedoras. Not the trilby some people wear nowadays, such as the one in that picture, but actual fedoras predominantly worn by men up into the 1960s as a part of men's normal fashion wear (though if a man so desired, Homburgs, Boaters, Ascot caps, Bowlers, Newsboy caps, even a Pork pie hat all work). And bring back top hats for grand formal occasions!

What's formal enough for the top hat? Certainly not Vaudeville, but perhaps opera? Out to dine? Dinner at home?Ack wrote:I always did want to be Frank Sinatra...Luke wrote:I had to have the "Fedora talk" with a friend recently as he wore one at a recent get together. Definitely operas, also weddings, grand balls, formal business launches, funeral services, swearing in ceremonies, etc.

Never wear a top hat to an event that requires sitting in front of someone, or when sitting indoors (unless you are playing Monopoly).Ack wrote:Definitely operas, also weddings, grand balls, formal business launches, funeral services, swearing in ceremonies, etc.
