So what have you guys been watching lately?

And The Sports Reporters.

Watching Sports Center in the morning has been a routine of mine for over a decade, but I don't watch it religiously as I used to. Same with ATH and PTI.

What I like about OTL and "Reporters" is that they aren't shows driven my advertising, and both shows aren't afraid to go against popular opinion.

You'd never hear "Kobe changed his number, won a championship, bought his wife a ring, and Phil Jackson and the city of LA basically forgave him. Phil Jackson's daughter was a victim of sexual assault but still coached someone who is guilty of sexual assault. Obviously Phil cares more about the money and prestige than anything else".

That stuff would simply not fly on Sports Center or even Cold Pizza/First Take/Whatever they're calling that garbage show. But ESPN will allow journalists to speak their mind, and that is great. Plus, I have no interest, at all, in hearing ex jocks and "personalities" speak. Friggin Kornheiser was suspended for a week for commenting on something Hannah Storm wore, but Mike Lupica can ask "Does Tiger Woods have a brain?" and no one bats an eye.

I had the TV on today. I was feeling kind of crappy, with aches and pains I was feeling for no apparent reason and a slight headache.

I looked at the screen and saw that the cable box was on Cartoon Network after me randomly going through channels in my favorites list. I didn't know what I was watching, but it grabbed me rather quickly when I saw a hilarious scene of a bunch of geese beating the crap out of people with some metal music playing in the background. I ended watching this whole episode which had funny references to Voltron, video games, and Transformers the movie (the animated one). I was smiling the whole time. Turns out I was watching Regular Show. I think I just became a fan.

Around episode 40, Kamen Rider Ryuki stops making any sense. There are so many things that never get explained, and it just makes me want to punch the writer in the face. And the ending, dear God the ending, renders all the time spent watching this series absolutely USELESS. Go look it up, because I can barely even explain what happens in it.

Arrested Development Season 4.

Its first and second episodes were... funny, but not quite AD level funny. But after that it got back up to it's normal level of funny. We watched 9 of 15 new episodes just yesterday. Good to see it's back.

Geez, didn't realize it was a crime to not know Ben Stein's name.

Just started watching season 5 of Smallville and so far, it's a vast improvement over season 4. I've always loved the show since I first watched it in college because it does an excellent job of capturing the melodramatic, soap-operaish, over-the-top tone of a comic book and the fact that it's essentially been one long continuous story so far is a plus IMO. Buying all the seasons (except the last one that I don't have yet) over the last few years is turning out to be a good investment, entertainment-wise.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Last weekend I used my grandparents' Netflix for some Mythbusters and Star Trek. That was an awesome weekend.

I'm on the home stretch for TNG, got like 7 episodes remaining. Gonna give all the movies a legitimate shake when I'm done (I already liked First Contact and Nemesis, but maybe I'll appreciate Generations and ... ugh ... Insurrection a bit more now).

I started Arrested Development from the beginning, it's been a few years since I watched it, gonna watch through the new episodes.

Not sure what I'll watch after all this. Maybe Enterprise, House of Cards, or Mad Men.
