iPod Touch 4G HDMI cables

Post by BitFaced »

I know I've asked this before but will any HDMI adapter ever that claims it's for iPod Touch 4G work for iPod Touch 4G? I'm just asking because Apple may make it so you have to use their products instead of just any brand, and I don't want to waste my money.
I'm also wondering if I'd be able to use the SD Card function of this:

And if I'd be able to use all of the functions (SD Card, MicroSD, VGA, etc.) of these cables on an iPod Touch (And e.g. transfer SD Card files):

Plus what is the best cable you can get and does getting a HDMI cable fix the problems of Display Out + Composite which has inferior quality & lower frame rate?

Sometimes it has to do with the iOS version. I know older iOS revisions allowed a wider range of HDMI and video out products.

Mine is iOS 4.3.5 & I might be thinking about upgrading it to iOS 5 at some point; and it is jailbroken so it's not like there'd be much in the way of compatibility if I just used, say, Display Out.

OK so, I followed this guide:

Now I just need a HDMI adapter/dock.
