I have never had one before but I'm buying a sega master system 2 tomorrow with 7 games and a few extra games. I'm going to get strider, ghouls n ghost, and wonder boy 3. I'm trading in my ps3 games I never play and ps2 titles I will never play. I can't wait for this. Last time I posted something I was debating about getting rid of the Saturn buy I put the modded xbox away and I'm getting the sega original hardware. I own the genesis, Saturn, dreamcast, and I just bought the gamegear and now I own the master system after tomorrow.
Now I have a few questions,
1. Is the master system 2 region free?
2. If I own sonic/ same games on game gear should I buy the master system version? any difference?
3. What are some of peoples favorite games on the master system.
4. How is the master gear converter for the game gear to play master system games.
I really can't wait for this. My intentions for a while is just to start getting game gear and master system games. I love the way the master system looks and I think the carts look bad ass. Small and sleek. I also don't care if I buy complete just carts will be fine for me. I think it will be a cheaper way to get games.
Anyways Thanks for reading this and let me know if there any any master system junkies out there.
I'm getting a sega mater system 2 tomorrow!!!
Re: I'm getting a sega mater system 2 tomorrow!!!
Nice, Blu hooked me up with a Master System 2 a little bit ago. It is region free from what I have been told. As far as the other questions, I can't answer as I am just getting into the Master System myself. Oh check the guide too man!
Re: I'm getting a sega mater system 2 tomorrow!!!
american master system 2 uses 60hz speed, eng/jpn language detect is english.
you can play usa/europe/brazil etc games. but a few optimized pal games have issues.
for japan or korea games a flash cart is recommended. originals won't normally work.
bios difference and lack of pin converters.
most games are cheapest in europe. that'll be where to look for later releases.
It's a good idea to explore video quality modding.
while master system 1 had the brilliance of even RGB, master system 2 was cut way back to plain old RF.
