Everyone loves a train wreck of a movie right?
I think Brad Jones made a very good comment about how far these last two films have been in comparison to the first three.
In Die Hard McClain was in excruciating pain and could barely walk when he had to walk through all that broken glass. He pushed himself forward all the same.
In these last two hes like some kind of superhero. That was never the point with Die Hard. It was about a regular guy who was smart and tough, but ultimately, very human.
Saw the Hang Over Part III today with my brother and his room mate . Have to say the quality just continues to drop farther and farther . Were some good laughs here and there but overall I wasn't to impressed. I do have to give them props for the extra scene which popped up a minute or two into the credits. That was possibly the best part of the entire movie.
Big budget movies are the definition of selling-out, but Willis manages to outsell the sell-outs with the weakest DH entry yet. Despite its adherence to a three decade tradition of silly action tropes, the first hour was actually okay, but the film became rather tiresome afterwards. And McClane keeps on yapping about being on vacation. Really those silly one-liners no longer work.
Thing that killed me was they basically put Bruce Willis in god mode the entire movie. I didn't expect him to die but things just got ridiculous. McClane felt like he didn't really give a shit any more. He knows he is a bad ass and everything is a walk in the park for him from beginning to end. The bad guy wasn't to impressive either at least compared to the past villains in the series.

He also never stops falling through things.
Yes another installment is in the works, yes I don't look forward to it, and yes I'll see it anyway. My money is on a "family reunion" movie. What I'm hoping for is "McClain is separated from his family the entire movie" movie.
I don't need helicopter crashes, I don't need car crashes (although the best thing from the last movie was the car chase), I don't even need explosions unless it's during the climax. All I want is the ol' McClain back.
I remember hearing about this when Halo 4 came out. I thought it was a computer animated movie and that it was only like 20 minutes long. I had no idea it was a 'full length' movie. I was actually pleasantly surprised by it. It's not the best movie ever made, and its clear that whoever directed it really wanted it to be like Halo: Landfall. It felt like a long TV episode, but it was still a fun watch.
And maybe it's the Halo geek in me, but it was pretty cool seeing the Master Chief show up and kick ass for a few minutes. I thought it was pretty cool! Man though, imagine if Microsoft/Bungie/Hollywood had gotten their heads out of their asses and let Neill Blompkamp direct a Halo movie. It would have been awesome! But at least we got District 9 out of it. Im also looking forward to Elysium.
Amazing. Spectacular. Awesome. It tops the original in every conceivable way and was exactly the kind of roller-coaster of a movie I was hoping for. Those of you who were unimpressed by Rise Of Cobra, watch this one. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.
