WHO'S BAD?

Awesome! That is such a great game, and it definitely deserved a better home port.

It's still fully encrypted, the suicide battery is still alive after 23 years. Amazing, but likely to die within the next year. I've ordered myself a suicide-repair kit and, once it kicks the bucket, I'll revive it, sans-suicide chip.

But yeah, this blows the damn Genesis and SMS versions away. I wouldn't really call those ports, though, considering they're completely different games, and were released before this game

I didn't get much of a chance to play this sequel when it was in the arcade, but after playing through the Dreamcast port of Legends I needed to get this one. It's about twice as long with a lot more items, characters, and levels.

I've lost many hours on that game back when it came out, with and without friends. I don't have it anymore because back then a friend borrowed it to let some girl he liked play it. He never did get MY game back from her after she stopped hanging around him when she realized he didn't want to stay in his proper place in the "friend zone"

I'm going to have to eventually organize all my purchases so far this year into a list. Anyway, came into a little extra spending money recently with a new credit card and some gift cards I won at my job. I picked up:

Kid Icarus Uprising (with stand)
Kingdom Hearts 3d:Dream Drop Distance Mark of Mastery Edition (for a surprisingly reasonable price. I'm having a lucky week)
Army Corps of Hell (for my newly acquired, pre owned Vita that I got a really good bargain on )

I got Halo 4 at the BX for $18 since it was on sale at Best Buy for that price. I've never seen it so cheap, so I didn't need to think twice.

A quick look at the completed eBay auctions has the PS2 as the cheapest port, probably because it came out first. The Gamecube port was built on the PS2's version but added more exclusive items and features. Complete copies of GDL for PS2 are anywhere from $6-$20. GC is $15-$30. I got mine for around $20.

I loves me some K-Mart clearance games. $5 for a new copy of Shadows of the Damned is just too good to say no too. And this is probably the 4th time VC II has had a price reduction in the last month. $29.99>$24.99>$19.99>$14.99....I was curious to see if it would go any lower, but they only had two copies and I didn't feel like risking it. I hope you guys who still have a store open nearby are checking out their selections.

Dragon Age is pretty cool. The sequel was blah.

Dragon Age in easily in my top 5 RPGs of all time. I like Dragon Age II as well, and while it isn't as good as the first I think that, especially with the additional campaigns/DLC stuff, the game is still very solid and well worth playing. It think it gets unfairly pegged as a bad game because it isn't as good as the first in many ways...but there are plenty of things that are just as good (and plenty that are better in DA2) than what was in DA1...despite the undeniable fact that some design elements took a hit.

Damn, how did I missed this?

Anyway, thanks for the info. I've been wanting to try out Dragon Age for a while, so if I like it enough to want to pick up the sequel I'll try to remember to not get my expectations too high.

Not that $8 is that expensive, or anything. But I've seen X-Men go for dirt cheap, like SMB/Duck Hunt cheap.
