Re: New Xbox releases in Nov. Will be called "Xbox"
The computing power of these systems are significantly higher than their predecessors. There should be more than just a minor increase in what these can do. Current games were being severely limited by the hardware.

Nah, I would have made you make a bet on what you think it would have been, and you undoubtedly would have lost. It most certainly was not Hairy Dog Shit Box.Luke wrote:In my own little world you would owe me $250.o.pwuaioc wrote:Xbox One.

Okay, so I've gotten some mixed info on these...
Can it play used games?
Does it "require" an internet connection?

It can play used games, but you will have to pay a fee to activate it.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Okay, so I've gotten some mixed info on these...

It does not require a connection in general. However if the games uses the azure cloud then it will require connection to play.

There is so much more to the processing power of these systems than just polygon count. AI, lighting, framerate to name a few...Niode wrote:Law of diminishing returns.Jmustang1968 wrote:The computing power of these systems are significantly higher than their predecessors. Which is not a big deal. Provided whoever you are buying from the used game from lowers the price. So, I guess that is kind of unpleasant for games I buy and DON'T like, but it isn't all bad.Jmustang1968 wrote:It can play used games, but you will have to pay a fee to activate it.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Okay, so I've gotten some mixed info on these...

And for all we know the PS4 may have the same sort of fee. They've never confirmed or denied it, right?

That conference was hilariously bad. 30 minutes before video games are actually discussed, and then we get sports games, halo, and CoD? They seem to be catering firmly to the fratboy crowd this gen. I will definitely pass.

Can't say I find any of those to be memorable or impressive. Which one of those are supposed to be a killer ip?Niode wrote:Bayonetta 2, Pikmin, Game and Wario, Lego City, Wonderful 101, MH3U, TTT, Ninja Gaiden 3, ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts: U... E3 is in less than a month, is it that surprising they didn't reveal any big titles?
I hardly remember any games actually being shown at the Wii-U and PS4 thing. I mean yeah, everyone knows theres going to be a new Mario and Super Smash bros, but it's not like they were actually shown.
