A console for the masses. XBOX one exists to make money, not to make retrogamers happy.

It also doesn't exist to make modern gamers happy, from what I'm reading across social media.samsonlonghair wrote:A console for the masses. XBOX one exists to make money, not to make retrogamers happy.

According to social media, no new consoles make gamers happy, yet they seem pretty happy once they buy them.dsheinem wrote:It also doesn't exist to make modern gamers happy, from what I'm reading across social media.samsonlonghair wrote:A console for the masses. Also possible they're getting this kind of stuff out of the way so they can just show game after game at E3.TheSonicRetard wrote:That was an awful reveal.
Maybe.
Probably not, but maybe.
In any case, the hardware looks nice. Didn't see much software-wise I care about, but then again, I can say that about all of the new consoles thus far.

Wired.com just confirmed no used games or rentals. Every game must be installed to run - once it's installed, a game id fur each disc is tied to your Xbox live account. If you out the disc in another Xbox, you will be prompted to log in to your linked Xbox live account, or purchase a license for a new install.
Lame.

Sony still hasn't 100% confirmed either way on the PS4, as far as I know. They gave a very vague response when asked.
