I feel like it was a good successor to Discovery. Not as good, but Discovery was near perfection and a tough act to follow. I liked it more than Human After All at least.deathsled wrote:So, I've got the album and it's really not as good as I had hoped for![]()
Discovery is pretty much where it's at for me. While RAM seems like it's trying to recapture that feeling it just falls short in my opinion.

So far, I've only heard the single, Get Lucky. I am a fan. I'll most likely get the album, as it does strike some chords with me on how similar it is to Discovery. Also, Pharrell does not age and he was a great choice to lay vocals on a track for DP.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one that liked HAA.AmishSamurai wrote:I feel like it was a good successor to Discovery. Not as good, but Discovery was near perfection and a tough act to follow. I pre-ordered it off Amazon awhile ago. It and a couple games should be showing up shortly.

It can't be worse than human after all. It has also had a pretty positive reception with the critics and allot of the fan base. I may check it out. Definitely don't think it will top discovery though.

Wait... People don't like Human After All? I really enjoyed that Album.
Listened to a bit of this new one, and I want to vomit everywhere. No thanks.

I despise human after all. It was recorded in two weeks for gods sake. It sure sounds like it. Every song feels underdeveloped and like they needed a whole lot more time with it. The amazing live versions of the human after all cuts makes up for it. Almost. I mean really, Alive 2007 is the only Daft Punk album I absolutely must have.

RAM is a fun album, but when it misses it misses hard. So far my favorite three tracks are:
1. Instant Crush
2. Get Lucky
3. Giorgio by Morode
I would rank Contact as number 2, but the last part where it just ramps up the noise, that was unneeded.
