Good websites/places to get arcade posters

Post by Kevman »

I've been looking for video game related posters for my room recently, specifically arcade advertisement posters and any SNK related posters. A lot of the posters I find on eBay are reproduction posters, which isn't a problem with me except they are way to small (typically 11"x16"). I'm looking for sizes around 19"x27". The closest I've gotten was this website below:

http://www.arcadeshock.com/items/snk~pl ... -/list.htm

Problem is the posters are usually out of stock or a little too expensive. Searching "official arcade posters" on ebay just gives me results with prices of $70+ :? .

Anyone know of any places that has a good selection of arcade posters or a place that has big reproduction posters?

What I do is take an image that I want, upload it to Wal Mart's photo lab, and select the size poster I want. It only cost a couple of dollars.

Most of my posters are authentic but a couple have been done this way. I don't have an answer with regard to your question about a website to buy posters from, just a way around that if you don't find what you're looking for :)

I'll probably end up printing my own because I'm going more for looks rather than actually having these as collection pieces. Which brings me to my next questions. Anyone know of any really complete archives of hi-res arcade flyer scans? I've been doing some digging and can only find a handful of quality scans here and there and none of it being SNK :( .

They actually look really good. But you won't see it with my crappy cell phone.

Suppose I'll shoot a video later of my collection and include that in it.

Have you had any problems with them over copyrighted images and stuff? I know they can get picky about duplicating photos they believe are from professionals.

Nope. Never had that problem with game posters.

I posted link to a video of my collection in the game room topic, you can see some there.
