Actually the moniker for this release is kept in-line with the trend on how the main Series is titled.
The Guilty Gear series is seldom asssociated or labled with numerical values to represent sequels in favor of "X". Thus the "Xrd".
The "-Sign-" is simply a subtitle which many entires in the series have utilized starting from the original release on PSone:

-GG: The Missing Link
-GGX: By your Side
-GGXX: The Midnight Carnival

Money says they started the first revision before they even started development on this one.

This is GREAT news. Sol is one of the few characters in ANY fighting game I completely dominate with as such I'm a HUGE Guilty Gear fan. whatever console this is on. Day one Limited edited buy for me.

Between this and the BlazBlue Anime. This has been a great couple of days for me. I just hope we get news of a US version of BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma soon.

I'm simply wondering because if they can actually manage to introduce "Sin" into the main (fighting) series as a playable character, then that alone would evoke a Day 1 purchase from me regardless of how far off I've fallen with the series since the days of XX: #Reload.

While I pretty much always pop in #Reload when I want to play the game for a bit (even though I have Accent Core Plus), I'm curious as to what your problems with the later games might be?

Nope! X seires ended with its run with the X 1.5 update bacck in 03.

By all acounts, XX series is considered the 3rd actual installment to the series. YES, I know they share most assets from GGX! Take it up with Arc Sys
