So I finished Guacamelee earlier today and highly recommend it. It's a great marriage of Metroid and beat 'em up gameplay that was challenging and entertaining. Next platformer on my plate is a Castlevania game.

Spent some time playing Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate tonight. I just beat the second boss and got a new ability. Thus far, the game's not too bad. It's actually pretty decent. The 4.7 IGN gave it is further proof of what a joke that site is. So far, I'd probably rate it at least a 7. Might bump it up to an 8 if the game manages to really impress me as I get further into it.

Necro-ing this thread for two purposes:

a) to agree with Gamerforlife, that CV LoS:MoF is actually a pretty good game (well that makes at least TWO people, here, on the internet, who *gasp* like it!)

and b) to say that i'm now playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles, FOR THE FIRST TIME. Whoa.

I also liked that game with the really long title.

High-five, Stark! That makes it a whole three of us!

Also, still vastly enjoying S3&K. For some reason i didn't like playing Sonic & Knuckles by itself and having Mushroom Hill Zone as the first stage, but i like it in S3&K, yet nonetheless still feel it's better to have Angel Island as the starting stage. Weird.

They were originally one game, so the flow is better, in my opinion. I'm not quite sure why either, considering when I first got Sonic and Knuckles, I, for whatever reason, didn't play it with Sonic 3 at first.

I've been playing Do Re Mi Fantasy and I have to say it's sick how much better this game is than Milon's Secret Castle. I have no idea why it was never released in the US, but I would have added this game to my SNES library years ago if it was.

I actually finished Mirror of Fate since I last posted in this thread. Having played the game in its entirety, I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10. It's currently one of my favorite 3DS games. I had more fun with this game than I did the much more acclaimed Super Mario 3D Land. The boss fights were epic!

Is Mirror of Fate the direct sequel to Lords of Shadow? Or will LoS 2 be the 'sequel' more or less and MoF is just an off-shoot?

Currently I'm playing Super Castlevania IV (SNES) and I'm loving it.

Here here. Milon's secret castle is painful. I actually really wanted to like it. Do Re Mi Fantasy is top tier for some light hearted platforming action. I can hear that music now.

I finally finished it last week...couldn't beat it years ago haha. Definitely my favorite linear Castlevania.
