looking for s-video to scart that actually works

The scart part works but the rca and s video do not. I get a very faint picture thru svideo can't make out any shapes and its in black and white. Anybody ever hooked up an s video through these and actually get a picture?

That's a passive adapter. Your tv has to accept s-video on its scart input.
