Made some great progress this weekend. I nearly have most of my force promoted.

Re: Together RPG - SRPG Shining Force 2
Just started last night. I just beat the battle where you get so I haven't gone too far past the beginning. Chester is really running away with the experience, but I'm finding it difficult to keep up in levels with some of the low-damaging characters since the kill-shots are so important for experience. I'm also OCD about everyone needing to stay alive and may need to take more risks than I have been. That being said, I really like when any RPG uses lower numbers like this one does. It's hard to describe, but it makes that "new game feeling" last longer for me than RPGs where the HP can break 1000 after a few hours.

Sara is my lowest leveled character. I don't think she's even reached Level 10 yet.

Make sure you use all of her MP every battle. If you have leftover MP that's lost experience.TheSSNintendo wrote:Sara is my lowest leveled character. I don't think she's even reached Level 10 yet.

I also set up enemies for kill shots for lower damaging or lower level characters. I will use my higher attackers to start on an enemy and come in behind with the weaker guys for kill shots.

Got seriously distracted by Fire Emblem sealed sword translation, played it all weekend. Now I'm finding it really hard to get back into shining force >.>

Worked out exactly the same for me. Failed once and breezed through second time around.
All good tips stated above, set up kills, use all MP etc...

How is everyone doing on this? I've been sick last few days and have been sleeping early after work.

Re: Together RPG - SRPG Shining Force 2
I set the game down briefly and, surprise surprise, haven't played it in over a week.
Its not a Shining Force problem, its a rpg problem. Sooner or later the length kinda hits me and I need a break, and I don't always get back to it in good time.
Last time I played I was just about to fight the battle where you meet Higins.
I'm not bored of the game or anything, I just need to get motivated to pick it up again. I'm sure once I do I'll get sucked right back in.
