Stepping on legos is one of the worst.KitKatCara wrote:MrPopo wrote:MegaBloks?! Get that kid some real Legos.jinx wrote: She also started using her MegaBloks to build things instead of just making a tower and destroying it.
Megabloks are more appropriate for her age, they are larger and easier for her to grab. Also, less foot trauma. Still hurts to step on them, but not as bad a Legos. I know that they do make the Duplo blocks, but those tend to be more expensive.

I would, but she's not even 2 yet and I'm afraid she may choke on the pieces. Duplo is stupid expensive for what you get. $30 bucks for a small box of crappy building blocks, or $10 for a giant bag of basically the same thing. We'll get real Legos when she's a bit older.MrPopo wrote:MegaBloks?! Get that kid some real Legos.
Plus, these were all gifts from last x-mas.
Making a list of "Party Games" to bring on Vacation. I have a bunch of younger siblings, so I'm trying to keep the games 4+ players because somebody is always complaining that they missed their turn. I have a pretty solid list so far (I think), but just realized that I still need to buy lot of these games...
My list so far:
LoZ: Four Swords Adventures
Mario Party 2 & 4
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed
Pac-Man Vs.
Sonic Shuffle
Power Stone 2
Bomberman (any version)
Bubble Bobble (Wii)
Gauntlet Legends (Dreamcast)
Gigawing 2
Chu Chu Rocket!

My Father would lay out tapestry of obscenities when he would step barefoot on a loose Lite-Brite peg. Not only would those suckers pierce his skin, they would pierce his skin and then shatter, giving him the pleasure of having to pick out shattered Lite-Brite shards from his foot.Jmustang1968 wrote: Stepping on legos is one of the worst.
Smile: Although I'm partied out from the weekend, my actual Birthday party is tonight. Wife woke me up with a big kiss and a big ol' fashioned homemade breakfast of eggs, toast, bacon, and fresh strawberries. And the breakfast table I found a plethora of gifts (or is it a gift plethora?).
I only opened one gift, which was BioShock Infinite, so I'm off to a good start.
Did all the other celebrating with friends and family over the weekend, so I'm looking forward to a nice night at home.

Ticked - Exceptionally late night last night going into the second to last day of the sales month at work.
Smiled - Weekend was full of fun with family, old college friends getting married, and finally getting one of my cabs up to the new house. Which means, hopefully soon I will have it working...

Smile: Just got off the horn with my Uncle Bill and Aunt Karen. Always interesting speaking with them. He told me an Al Capone story (My great grandfather was chief of police for Jefferson Park/Chicago) the story of when John Wayne Gacy tried to pick him up, and Karen told me about when she encountered resurrection Mary.
My Grandmother tells the best Capone stories that leave me like a kid in the 20's staring at a radio, but Bill's Gacy story seriously creeps me out.

It's gonna be so much fun when my daughter is old enough to play with Legos and toys and whatnot. I already got her some My Little Pony stuff.
