I just dig the cover, it so reminds me of something Boards of Canada would have, like the cover for Trans Canada Highway was taken from a 70s Dodge Truck manual cover.

I love that Boards of Canada's music sounds like some dusty musical artifact that was dug up from a site of ancient ruins, once inhabited by an advanced alien race that first planted ganja on the planet Earth and made incredible music. Obviously I'm looking forward to their upcoming new album.)
Pete Standing Alone is an excellent example of that. The title was an actual film from the Film Board of Canada. Everything just sounds so old yet modern. Modernly old? Tomorrow's Harvest is really looking to be exciting. Even the campaign they used to promote it was such like their style.

Wow I figured this thread for techno/trance/dubstep...
But this Com Truise is rocking my world. I think I saw them name dropped when I was checking out Power Glove (the ones who did Blood Dragon's OST). I'm definitely in love with this 80's retro sci-fi throwback stuff.

Here's a few of his best tracks, in my opinion
Fairlight
BASF Ace
Air Cal
I saw Com Truise do a live show late last year (October, I think). Good show, but a bit boring. He didn't have any visuals or anything. So it was just him on stage with a simple sequencer, synth and drum machine. He did have a live drummer with him on stage, too. Although I honestly couldn't hear much of him over the electro breakbeats, nor did I feel he contributed much to the tracks or performance.

I don't post in this thread often, but I grew up on Kraftwerk and Dick Hyman and have always loved electronic music.
Fell out of the genre a bit, more and more with age, but I often throw on Orb and Aphex Twin. Orb Live '93 is one of my favorite records of all time to be honest. I like my electronic music to be complex, but still gives you the urge tap your toes or dance.
So here is one of my favorite "somewhat recent" electronic compositions I've ever heard:
Quite frankly, this shit knocks. It's one of the dopest beats my ears has ever had the pleasure to listening to, and it a oozes hip hop feel. It's also one of those beats that never gets old, but somehow it gets better.
That track really needs someone like Meth or Common to sprinkle some lyrics on it. But, it's pretty great as it is.
Yay, I have this song in an unlabeled mix and I didn't know what it was. Randomly came across it again. Figures it is someone I already know and like. Now I can seek out a legit copy. This one seems to have had the EQ all messed up, but it helped me anyway.
