The official "Fan Theories" thread

Post by REPO Man »

Do you have any theories about your fave show? Movie? Comic book? Video game? Et al? Post them here!

SLENDERMAN

THEORY: SLENDERMAN IS AN ALIEN

Watch any episode of Star Trek that deals with Gods (TOS' "Who Mourns the Adonais?") or demons (TNG's "Devil's Due").

Exact same logic. Slenderman defies logic by our current standards. And when we can't explain something with science and logic, we explain it as magic and fantasy.

Its modus operandi? Its physiology? Its power to teleport and mess up electronics? Only an extraterrestrial could be at the heart of all of it.

Just wait. Star Trek's gonna do just that.

THEORY: HAILEY ZIKTOR IS RELATED TO VR TROOPERS VILLAIN KARL ZIKTOR

While her surname is never mentioned on the show, on the cast sheet it's listed as "Ziktor", the same surname as Grimlord's real-world counterpart Karl Ziktor.

While never really mentioned whether or not VR Troopers takes place in the same universe as Power Rangers, it is possible. Also, since not much is known about Karl Ziktor's life before the show began or after it ended, there are two possibilities:

* She's his daughter. She went to MIT with Tommy (though this is flimsy since Tommy studied a field not taught there, though it's possible he changed fields and even colleges), which makes her around the same age as him, if not younger. That would mean that she went to college after Tommy left the Turbo Rangers in 1997, which in turn makes her about 15-18 (I'm assuming she might have been a prodigy), so she would have been born between 1979 and 1982, which is at most 15 years prior to the events of VR Troopers. So it could be that early on, he had a family and his wife left him and took their daughter with her.
* Karl Ziktor's her uncle. We don't know if Karl Ziktor had a wife and daughter, but we don't know if he had any siblings. So Karl Ziktor is Hailey's uncle. The fact that her name is Ziktor could indicate that their common relation is his brother, but it could also mean that their common relation is Karl's sister, assuming she was either an unwed mother OR kept her own name.

I always like to pretend that Charlie from SF Alpha is Blanka before he's turned green. Y'know... the whole movie thing.

Anyone wanna offer up any theories about what Chemical X from The Powerpuff Girls is?

Or why those asine vampires from Twilight sparkle? I say their skin crystallized, and since humans are carbon-based, their skin cells are essentially diamond-like, which would explain their resilience to bodily harm.

A few minors theories I've arrived at:

* The book Battle Royale exists in The Hunger Games and was the basis for it. Basically, The Hunger Games feels like a ripoff of Battle Royale because the person who invented it got the idea from reading Battle Royale
* The events in Codename Kids Next Door are purely imagination. It's based on a kid's view of the world, even turning select adults into villains, each one based directly on something (spanking, summer camp, weird food that adults claim is good and good for you) or some type of person (like a dentist) kids hate. It treats adults as part of a cabal of kid-hating villains because that's how most kids view the world.

That's funny; I've often thought this was a possibility as well, but Alpha 3 kinda negated that.

I KNOW! See, Alpha 1 supported the theory so well haha. On the subject, I always wished Alpha 1 had included all SF1 characters so it could have been a remake of 1.

Here's an article than ran on cracked a little while back about some great movie fan theories. Its a good read.

My own theory:
I think Deckard(Harrison Ford) in Blade Runner is actually a replicant. I personally don't want him to be because I think It makes a better story if he isn't, but the evidence supporting him being a replicant makes it hard to think he's not.

Most fan theories are people thinking far more about details of a story than the original author did.
