Buddy's response "He actually got a fair price". He can get them a bit cheaper, but unless you want to drive down to Eastern NC, you did alright. Odd tire sizes stink, don't they?Jmustang1968 wrote: They are ordered in but not signed and paid for. I am willing to see if your buddy can find a deal, but I am not optimistic as these are specialized tires. I ordered Nitto NT555 275/35R20XL
Smile: Got some pretty good birthday gifts last night from friends. Including two N64 controllers that look spanking new, an N64 Game Case "made" by Nintendo, a bottle of Buffalo Trace Rye, and $100 in cash. The best gift was hanging out with friends.
I'm lying. The whiskey and cash took the cake.
And after I'm done with yard work today, it's Miller time accompanied with a viewing of Beverly Hills Cop.

I was able to shop around for that deal and beat the other quotes of $1200-$1300
I feel ya on the car stuff though...... my '96 Olds broke down on Monday. $689 in repairs.

Are these gold plated tires?

They are on 20" wheels and are high speed rated performance tires. One of the downfalls to owning my car.
Thanks for looking. I figured I had a good deal when these guys were beating discount.Luke wrote:Buddy's response "He actually got a fair price". Was playing Half-Life 2 the other day in a sad and pathetic attempt to earn the badges via steam's beta service and was unsuccessful, spending about 4 hours that day.
Made my day, that game is a lot of fun, but tough at first.

More than welcome. I don't trust "tire dealers", if that is an official occupation (I would assume tire salesmen are also mechanics). I love my Focus S2, but my tires are probably worth more than the car. Not "The Rims", the tires.Jmustang1968 wrote: Thanks for looking. Kind of funny how so many things about mass produced cars are "rare" when they break. "Well this here is a triangle shaped window...Pretty rare." Um, no it isn't.

Well in defense, my car is pretty rare, well some of it. It is a 2010 Roush 540RH. So they made 55. However, it is a mustang, so things like most of the body pieces, glass, and some interior are generic. The wheels are the 20" roush wheels and most of under the hood and suspension are all specialized.Luke wrote:More than welcome. This is actually being annoying right now as the super charger belt is being noisy at times. So I get into the will ford dealer or roush cover warranty repair/service or at all

Interesting. I need to look into the difference between a Roush and a Shelby 'Stanger.Jmustang1968 wrote: Well in defense, my car is pretty rare, welll some of it. It is a 2010 Roush 540RH. So they made 55.

With those tubes the slime needs to sit for a while before it can have air pumped back in and hold it. If you've got a bike shop around you I'd suggest going to pick up a patch kit instead of a new tube since it's cheaper and tubes are pretty expensive now. What size are your tires? I could possibly be able to send you some spares for obscenely cheap if you've got a road bike that's got a normal size tire.REPO Man wrote:My tire's flat on my bike, since apparently the hole's too big to be self-repaired by the inner-tube's anti-puncture measure (which is apparently some kind of slime or something).
Edit
those slime tubes are shit and make things a pain in the ass sometimes to change since most of it usually leaks out all over your tire and rim.
