Deathsmiles

Post by BigTinz »

Got to play it this weekend, it's amazing. I was ready to hate this game; I had very low expectations and the game kicked my ass. DS really pushes the cave gen 3 hardware to it's max. The effects are insane and the game plays really well. I must mention the music. After only spending a few days with the game, the soundtrack has possibly become my fav cave ost, which is saying ALOT.

If you have the means...RUN don't walk to your nearest mail order shop and buy the damn game. If nothing else..this may be the reason to get a JP 360.

Just bought a Japanese 360 today, for this and the other Cave shooters that are coming to the console. Why pay out the ass for the board when I can buy a 360 and every shoot 'em up on the system for less than that?

What did you pay for it? I'm assuming that's you cab in the picture.

Because PCBs are for pimps

That is actually a friends aero city machine. He payed the avg. price for the bare board..which is a touch over $1000.

Would still be a ton of fun to play this game already. Plus, you can always sell the PCB when you get board. Better sooner than later, especially with the port looming ahead. If you check out some forums, you will notice a lot of board owners offloading their Cave stuff while it still goes for top dollar.

STOOPID!

I love shmups, but I will never understand the desire to own the cab, pcb, etc for any game that doesn't feature a unique input scheme/layout.

Wow...that is completely ass backwards from how alot of people feel. It's cool though, I guess it separates the more hardcore shmupers from the the more casual...

It actually separates those who have $1,000 - $2,000 to spend on a single game from those who do not.

I would rather play a Xbox 360 port of it on a $2000 dollar arcade cabinet then a Pcb on a $25 dollar Aero City Cabinet And yes they are 25 dollars in Japan!

Too bad they can be $500 or more to ship to America. But at that price, you may as well buy a whole crate of them; it wouldn't cost much more. :D
