Make sure you have a decent pair of shoes.
Take it slow and easy for awhile.
Try to stick with a consistent schedule - you don't have to run every day, but try to develop a "groove" your body becomes accustomed to.
You can find good training plans for 5K races and whatnot online. I used to follow some of these, but for now I just prefer to take it easy and run on my own terms.
I wonder if it would be possible to easily/automatically extract every post I've ever written on here into one file for easy copy/paste/searching/browsing into a word document...
Anyone familiar with some sort of forum post extraction software or some such?

phpbb stores posts into the MySQL database, so you'll need to find a way to export that first.
I believe there are tools specifically for doing such things scattered across the net.
I thought this was common knowledge, but a friend of mine who is in his mid thirties just proved me wrong.
Cologne should never go on your clothes as it was designed to go on your body (and it isn't good for your clothes either). Shower, towel off, ONE spray, and you are good to go.
And how can deodorant be unscented? Unscented antiperspirant makes sense, unscented deodorant makes none.
What's the point? Antiperspirant prevents, well, quite obviously perspiration. Deodorant is made to cover up the smell of sweat. How can no scent cover up armpit scent?

Bone pretty well covered everything that needed to be said. I feel like I need to emphasize how important a good pair of shoes is though. They can be a bit pricey but in the end it's both easier on your joints and more comfortable to run long periods if you get a nice pair. Running and working out in discomfort is a terrible feeling.

You shouldn't need direct access to the MySQL database; you could write a screen scraper that uses forum search for author and show individual posts.
