Anyone Collect or Still Listen to Vinyl?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

It is? When did this happen?
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

When it comes to sound quality, CDs surpass all digital audio except lossless. Only nerds like me use lossless.

Use Lossless on the computer. Record collection has probably breached 800 now. I actually do listen to it allot. If i game has a soundtrack i don't particularly like, i'll throw on a record.

This is why I'll still pick up CD's of my favorite albums to listen to in the car when I can get them cheap. My car has a decent 7 speaker system in it (small sub, 4 mids, 2 tweeters), so the CD quality is noticable. It certainly beats burning them from lossy rips.

Somebody directed me to this thread. Not sure if I win the record hoarding prize, but I currently possess over 100,000 LPs, a few thousand 45s and probably some 78s that I am unaware of. I usually only keep like 500 or so albums around the player to actually be used, but my collection grows every day  . Its like any other collecting hobby, until it gets out of hand. One of my colleagues has an entire two car garage pretty much full. I don't think his wife has ever set foot in there  . I used to rock out to older turntables, like the pioneers and Lafayettes, but lately I've been using some of the modern DJ equipment. I love my Oracle, and the numarks are an easy close second!
Don't hate the player, hate the (video)game.

It was me! :D

I have an old pair of Lafayette headphones that I stole from my mother. They just don't make stuff like they used to, and these headphones are a great example of that.

Yeah, I think I said some where back in this thread, my current table is a Numark. Probably not the best table ever, but it seems like a god of turntables compared to my last one.
