You're... you're joking, right? There's no way anyone could be serious about a statement like that. :?
I said I am half joking. But it doesn't really do much for you in the industry beyond getting a bachelors in an engineering degree. If you really want to, then more power to you. And when I say higher, I mean beyond a bachelors. That is a given necessity.

You are much better off getting some specialized training and/or certifications.

What is so astonishing about that statement that it is beyond belief?

Because there's plenty of time to learn for fun when you're in your golden years. Granted I do that anyway. I just don't let someone else tell me how to do it while giving them obscene wads of cash to do it.

I haven't really done anything with my film studies degree (although I'm slowly but surely learning to use Anime Studio. Stay tuned), but I still think college was worth every penny.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Seriously though, ours was never cold/burned. It was piping hot, gooey, cheesy, pepperoni-y, and greasy. It was awesome!
The last school I went to was the worst school I've ever been to. I thought those schools in the movies where some teacher comes in and turns the kids' lives around were over-exaggerated, but that was pretty much my school. Everybody talked all period every period with the exception of two of my classes. Kids were passed with F's, just so the teachers could get rid of them...

That said, our pizza was AMAZING. We had two lunch lines, and one was pizza every day. That was kick ass, because it was always hot and gooey. I don't think I ever even bothered going to the other line.

Wait...
It's weird to eat pizza with ranch dressing? O.o

:D
Awesome night at work.

:(
My daughter wasn't feeling well this morning. She's alright now, but earlier she was running a fever and acting kind of funny. We were a bit worried because last night she ended up slamming her head against the corner of the bed. Having a kid is rough... This is way worse than any horror movie I've ever seen.

:D
Found a pretty sick place to start ordering clothes for her. Screw that girly crap, we're gettin' the good stuff.

:?
Starting to second guess my decision to drop out of college. I don't think the courses I was taking would have helped me at all, but I may have become interested in something else along the way. I've always been interested in embedded Linux and robotics, but never actually got into it by myself. I know I can always go back, but I feel like I'm getting to old to go, and I'm not even sure how I'd survive school and this job.

The pizza at my elementary school was terrible. I'm not sure if you guys had this to, but the pizza came in squares. Bleh. I haven't tried the pizza at my current school, but I probably won't like it.

I remember this horrible squared 'breakfast pizza' they served in all of my schools. It was either burned, not cooked enough, doughy, or on the rare occasions when it was cooked right, it was just gross. At my high school though they served stuffed crust pizza. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad.
I'm here for your body.

Ugh. Gag me with a wooden spoon (Call me Rufus, 'cause I just took you back to the 90's).

Hm. Good news or bad news first?

Frown: I have a huge meeting on Friday, so I took the day off to goof off. Just kidding. Kind of. I have a lot to prepare, and unfortunately I have to run a couple of errands that will empty the wallet.

Haircut = $40usd. Worth every penny.

Tux Rental for bro-in-laws wedding= $240usd.

Here's where I sound like a priss: This is why I own a Tuxedo. Your classic "James Bond" Oscar De la Renta, narrow lapel, single breasted Tuxedo.

Out of respect for the family, I'll dish out the $240 for an ugly as all get out Vera Wang Tuxedo with a straight tie and a shiny silver vest. I'm not kidding, a silver vest. The bridesmaids are wearing bright purple dresses "designed" by Jessica Simpson. And those dresses are made more for the fuller figured lady, and although my wife does have curves, she weighs a hundred pounds. She paid about $200usd for the dress, and an extra $50usd for alterations. After the wedding she'll donate it, as purple dresses (or silver vests for that fact) aren't exactly in style.

The wedding is in mid-June, outside, with a predicted temp of 92. Perfect weather for a three piece tux  They're going for the "married at the beach" motif, but dressing to the nines for some reason. If you're doing the beach thing, for God's sake use seersucker two button suits. Classy and comfortable. Shiny colors in an outdoor wedding? Just dumb.

Oh well. I do have the comfort of knowing I'll be wearing the cufflinks of my choice.

Smile:A gal pal is stopping by later to hang out and finish a horror of a 1000 piece puzzle. I'm looking forward to finishing off that monster so I can have my poker table back.

Well, fuck. You just described (kind of) my wedding.

Best wishes. But if your wedding is being held outside in mid-June in the blazing heat...well, you are a meanie bo feanie.

That said, being married is something terrifically magical. I dated my wife for nearly a decade before popping the question, and since we were wed, everything about our relationship has been better and somehow different. Hard to explain, but if you two are in love you definitely made the right decision.
