Which Racing Games Have Aged the Best?

A 3D game that actually runs at 60fps from that era? Pretty nice.

Plus I think the minimal textures on most of the cars makes them look really nice and clean.

I still love playing Excitebike on the NES.

If we're mentioning Excitebike, might as well throw in Enduro Racer for the Master System. One of my favorite racing games and still looks good. I think it's fair to say it's aged much better than GT 1/2 on PSX.

I grew up playing Need For Speed 3 on PC. Incredible game. We can't forget about Wipeout 3 or Bettle Adventure Racing either.

I have Ridge Racer Type 4 on its way after reading a lot of praise aobut it. I have never played a ridge racer game at all, which is strange since I really enjoy racing games.

Bettle Adventure Racing either.

I'm not a huge fan of VW Beetles, but this is one hell of a racing game.

It's also fun to walk in on someone playing it and yell out "SLUG BUG!" and punch them hard in the arm.
