Get outta here, Attack on Titan is glorious. Any show that
has rampant nihilism and kills the main character
can't just be thrown in with the typical shonen crew. I think Attack on Titan has done a really good job so far of creating its own world and avoiding so many of the tropes that can weigh the medium down (especially for shonen series). I'm not sure where it'll go from here, but it's set a strong precedent. Of course, if somehow
Eren comes back to life for some reason someway somehow
Then I have no choice but to redact a big portion of my praise.

Having said that, the manga is ongoing and started in 2009. That makes it virtually impossible for the series to end well or give any sort of closure to the story by the last episode. Which sucks.

He isn't dead. This is shonen. He will be back and more powerful than ever. And because he lost a limb I fully expect him to have titan powers since they are known to be able to regenerate. Heck, he will probably be able to become a titan somehow. Shonen shit. ;)

Nah. It is just knowing how shonen works. But even with the predictability it has still been very enjoyable so far. I can say that the amount of hype around the series now is a bit overkill, but it certainly deserves at least some of the praise it is receiving.

Also, it is VERY unlikely that any of the main cast will die. All the deaths so far have been from minor characters that no one would have expected to live anyway. If the author is really adventurous maybe one main cast member will die by the end of the series.

Yeah, some of the information that I just got about the series from my roommate really has me downcast about the series. I'll still watch it and probably enjoy it, but I just wanted to believe.

Whatever, Tropes 1000 Dylan 0.

I finished Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood just now.

Sweet mother of fuck that was awesome. Sorry those offended by my language (I know there are SOME OF you who might be *narrows eyes), But WOW. I don't know when I'll beable to watch it all at once again that was some Journey. yeesh.

I still have a ton of Anime in the watch pile though. Gonna wait a few days before I start the next show.

Phew what a ride. Gonna cool down and watch Raw.

Now image watching the last 13 or so eps with a week's break in between each one.

That would drive me insane. This is a show that needs to be marathoned on a long weekend. The last 13 episodes were amazing but the show as a whole was. As close to a perfect anime as you can get. Action, check. Humor, Check. Great music, Check. Characters you care about, Check. Drama, check. Winry Naked, Check...

I can't think of a single thing I'd have changed.

I felt like listening my top 5 anime of the season.. for whatever reason. :P

1. Chihayafuru 2 (continuing from last season)
2. The Devil is a Part-Timer! - Hataraku Maou-sama
3. Flowers of Evil - Aku no Hana
4. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU - Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru.
5. Attack on Titan - Shingeki no Kyoujin

I've at least TRIED pretty much everything airing this season except RDG. So the list could change. And while I love me some stuff like OreImo2 and a few others I wouldn't put them in the top 5 list. Regardless, this is a strong season.

ANIME SOLS IS LIVE.

It's basically the anime version of Kickstarter, which crowd-funds DVD releases of classic anime with English subtitles. This is pretty much everyone's only shot to get stuff like Magical Girl Creamy Mami or Yatterman. I HOPE THEY SUCCEED! They're also streaming their titles, so at least those classics are now available to watch online?

I think they might be too optimistic about how popular 70s-80s anime is with fans, but I'd really like to see it take off!
