:shock: I have an old computer (Vista) with speeds like that my tower would implode. Ill run a test tonight to check my speed, but I pay around $70 for fios internet alone.

I think I win. I pay around $65 for the most basic home phone and this bullshit.

If words could hurt, I would have yelled Verizon out of existence by now. They're the only game in town as far as home phone and internet go around here. Local DSL company leases their equipment, cable company won't bring their internet here, and broadband is only available to businesses and the school about 1000 yards down the road from my house. Verizon doesn't see the need to bring FIOS around here either.

I think we need to change the phrase to "moving as slow as Manassas" because not even molasses is that slow.

Over WiFi. I've seen higher up and down numbers before, but this is still more than good enough for my laptop. :P

I agree. I tried to change servers, but it kept going back to that one. And I actually have the highest speed they offer in my area right now.

Yeah, University connections are the best. But they can get bogged down by 1000s of people streaming video, and the general crappyness of how they set up the network.
