I'm up for it. Need something to get my mind off of the real world for a while...

I've been having a legit copy, but it only worked for the first week. For some reason, it still won't let me actually play after connecting. I get to the loading screen, but it just stops there... forever. I'll keep poking it with a stick to see if I can figure it out, because I much rather use it.

I mean, is it more likely that a burned copy works better on the servers? Are you using the boot disc to connect? I've had little problem connecting with my retail copy when I use the boot disc.

my understanding is that burnt discs cause more problems than retail. I'm not certain though.

I may need to burn another boot disc. The "cracked" disc auto-connects to the servers, and I've had absolutely no issues (except for last time we tried).

I used the same disc for two weeks in a row, playing online for hours. I had used it in the Forest and Caves. I've read that this disc I'm using has issues with later levels, but shouldn't have any issues with the ones I've been playing on. It's weird that it suddenly started flipping out last week.

I'll burn another boot disc tomorrow, and try the retail copy again. Any tips for the boot disc?

I think this is just for the classic PSO games for now, but I've been interested in getting into PSO2. I really want to wait until it comes to NA, but that may not happen until after the expansion. I'll be buying a Vita if it ever makes it's way over here.

no idea dood. I've always used Sylverant to boot and a legit retail disc to play. :\

Spent an hour and a half leveling a new character (RAcast) to lvl 3 tonight. Dammit, PSO always sucks me in. I was only intending to create a character.

Dammit! I have no idea why the retail copy doesn't work, when the cracked disc works fine. The cracked disc even improves load times... I just don't want to use it.

So you don't do anything extra? Just entering in the Sylverant DNS server and loading the retail copy?
I feel you on getting sucked in. I went through withdrawals when life was barricading me from my Dreamcast.

Oh, without a doubt it's one of the most addicting and enjoyable games I've ever played. I shamelessly went from Dreamcast to Gamecube to Xbox to PC for that game. And each time, I leveled up a character to a fairly considerable level.

If we're in the lobby of the Hunter's Guild when we join, we'll probably be okay. Noise, we'll have you or Jinx create the game, maybe I was causing the problems. :-\
