i thought it was an awesome concept that wasn't executed that well. i just remember there being a lot of "quirks" you had to adjust to control-wise that made the game feel strange, and random missions being really hard & poorly designed to the point that i had to use codes to see the whole game

I dont know why a lot of people hate on this game. I remember playin the hell out of it as a kid. I beat it at least three times too so I don't know why people talk about it being way difficult. I mean some parts were hard but not ridiculously hard like some make it out to be. I was like 12 when I last played this.

I gotta respect this opinion since so many people bring up the exact same complaints -- they make sense to me, but I never would have considered that it might have flaws in some people's eyes unless I'd heard others talk about it. I guess I should feel lucky that I'm in the half that loves this game -- more fun for me!

Maybe if the Dreamcast Controller had a second Analog Stick? Toy Commander control layout threw some off due to this? Its not bad, just getting used to the different way to play compared to "traditional" control of most two analog stick games. However, I do like how the triggers in the DC are used for precise acceleration.

Toy Commander was one of my all time fav DC games. Played the hell out of it and the multi-player was tits!.... That being said I probably haven't touched that game in at least 10 years so I have no idea how bad it has aged. Great concept tho, it would be nice to see the same kind of game(sequel?) with today's hardware.
