it'll be a while before I pony up for the DC version with maracas, so for now an 89 cent sealed Wii version is cool

Plus the Wii collection is really hers.
Edit! oh, got KOF DM 99 DriKore release for Dreamcast. $20.
nice! Does it differ from the US version at all?

Samba is actually quite fun. Not as challenging as the DC version, but fun all the same and new music of course.

I have played both, on the dreamcast I used official maracas, and some third party. The dreamcast version, even with the official maracas, was touchy during the menus, and during gameplay, there are a lot of times when you are sure you got the moves, and it didnt register. I got the wii version (with maracas attachment) for my cousins a few years back, and it played really well. Menu navigation was spot on, and it seemed to get the moves well also. Im not sure if there was anything "wrong" with the port, but it was fun. I would always recommend the dreamcast version for authenticity if possible.

Great Price! The Western Digitals have issues sometimes aligning up with the connectors with the Fat PS2 Network adapter. You might have to trim away the sheet metal on the adaptor so the connectors can slide sideways a little more. Not a big deal, just some trimwork worth the effort for that size.

Inspired by the most recent article on the racketboy front page about the Negcon controller, i have been looking out for one, I also decided to see about finding ridge racer r4 after reading the article as well. I remembered seeing the game on the shelf at one of my local spots, and decided to check and see if it was still there. It was, but over priced for about twice as much as ebay prices. Looking through the controllers I first find one that I have been interested in for a while, and another member just posted about finding one recently:
3.99 this one.

While digging through the controllers, hoping to stumble across that negcon controller, i spot something strange in the back of the shelf, something rather large. i pull it out and it looks like one of those Remote control car controllers, but for the playstation:

Too cool to pass up for 5 bucks, I grabbed it as well. While not the Negcon controller I was looking for, it still is an interesting way to play racing games. I dont have any psx racing games at the moment to play it with, so I tried it with my Dreamcast and total control adapter. After some messing with the settings, I was able to get it to work for the most part. The dreamcast doesnt seem to recognize the trigger for gas and brake, but the wheel worked great! It has awesome vibration built in, and all of the buttons are programmable. It has 3 modes (steering wheel, dual analogue, digital) to ensure it will work with most games. It came with a nice manual as well, detailing all of the functions of the controller, and how to program each button.

I hit up a random flea market yesterday when taking my mother inlaw to the Renaissance Fair. Being that it was hobbled together I was not expecting too much, but was surprised. It was almost entirely Hispanic and while there was some hot merchandise, mostly car stereos, and alot of food vendors, there were still some finds to be had. I was honestly surprised at the amount of NES games there, and though I already owned all of them but one, well it was a heck of alot better than the Nashville Fleamarket

NES Slalom - $2
N64 Gold Controller with a decent stick - $5
Framed poster of Mystic #32's cover signed by all of the main people who worked on the comic - $10:

[Edit - No matter what I do to the image, imageshack is rotating it, sorry folks]

Honestly I wasnt going to get it since it is kind of racy for our house, but my wife told me she wanted it for the craftroom. The best part was that when leaving the flea market, the guy running parking ran up and asked how much I wanted for it. He offered $30 but my wife declined.

Nice find on the controllers! That Superpad 64 also came without the Auto Fire, so yours is especially nice. Never seen that Mad Catz driving unit and I thought the Hori Zero Tech was weird looking. Looks to be a PS2 controller since it has a black connector. Possibility of spinner games in yours, might work with PS1 Tempest X3? Interested in finding one too, Model name and number of that "RC" Controller?

@ fastbilly - Nice print!
