I brought this to the mods who voted that it shouldn't be a "-1" but encouraged me to share it with people in this thread, so here it is:

dsheinem wrote:After adolobe and I agreed to a deal for some 7800 games on Monday, he went and sold the games out from under me on eBay. Here are the PMs:

Hey, I was wondering if you'd split out a few of these games from the bundle. I have been collecting 7800 games for the past year and only need about 10 more for a complete set. You have a few of the ones I haven't picked up yet:

Ikari Warrior - CIB
Ninja Golf - CIB
Summer Games - CIB
Winter Games - CIB

Let me know if you'd be up for parting out these in a small separate lot for me. I'm happy to make a fair PayPal offer or you can look over my trade list here - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=4855&p=37863#p37863

Thanks!

Im going to break up the lot. Since you asked about it first you have first dibs to make an offer on the 4 games

Ikari Warrior - CIB
Ninja Golf - CIB
Summer Games - CIB
Winter Games - CIB

We negotiated some more games and prices...

Hey

For the following

Ikari Warrior - CIB
Ninja Golf - CIB
Summer Games - CIB
Winter Games - CIB
Fight Night - CIB

I could do $90 shipped unless you want to paypal gift then I could do $85 to avoid paypal fee's

For
Ikari Warrior - CIB
Ninja Golf - CIB
Summer Games - CIB
Winter Games - CIB
Fight Night - CIB
Commando - CIB
Touchdown Football - CIB
Crack'ed - CIB

The lowest I could go would be $150 or $140 paypal gift to avoid paypal fee's

more negotiating

Ok, how about $130+ PayPal fees for the full lot then?

That works paypal fee's are around 3% so it would be $3.90 for the fee's

My paypal is [email protected]

Also send me a PM here with your shipping address after you send payment. I sell a lot on ebay so please send a PM so I know when to look up the transaction.

Ok, that's fine. Do you mind if I wait until Thursday to send payment?

I never heard back from you on this. Is the deal we arranged still good to go?

I got no replies to any of these last messages, though he read them shortly after being sent.

The problem is that, while this was all going on he was also hedging his bets on selling stuff on eBay and sold a few games including some of the stuff we'd negotiated: http://www.ebay.com/csc/mkg6900/m.html? ... te=1&rt=nc He also has more of the games we negotiated up for sale now on the site.

I sent him a PM asking for an explanation just now, but don't expect much. I'm inclined to give him a -1 just for doing something pretty shitty to someone from the forums. Thoughts?

I've since sent him another PM, which he read and did not reply to. He was negotiating these games with me while selling them elsewhere, and since then has ignored me instead of owning up to it. Yes, I left the "door open" on the deal after agreeing on a price and getting his PayPal info by asking for two days to send payment (I wanted to use some incoming PayPal), but instead of saying "ok" or "no" to that request and giving me the option to pay right away for the negotiated price, he sold them elsewhere. It's bad form, and I think folks should be wary. :x
