How is this a bad thing? KOTR and Battlefront are among the best Star Wars games ever made.Retrodude wrote:Ack wrote:EA now has rights to Star Wars for making games.
Both of those games were by studios before EA bought and ruined them, and in Pandemic's case, closed it... Invalid examples.Luke wrote:How is this a bad thing? Of course they have competition. They compete against all other games being developed and released. A gamer has a set budget for games and will buy a different game if the EA game is of poor quality.Retrodude wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_arts#CriticismLuke wrote:How is this a bad thing? Note how long that section is. Disney can do a lot better than EA. I would have preferred if they gave the license out to different companies on a case-by-case basis. If it's all in the hands of one company, they have no competition and therefore have no incentive to actually put quality over quantity.
Based on games that haven't been released yet? Like the Illumiroom, you're not even giving it a chance before you knock it down.Retrodude wrote:

I can't possibly trust EA, so I'm not going to deny my bias against them, I hate the company and wish it would go away. So yes, I will be very cynical and overly critical towards anything they are involved with in any way whatsoever. I believe this will merely lower the quality of star wars games further, just the same as they did with that poor excuse of an MMO, SWTOR, which was EA and Bioware.Luke wrote:Okay...So let's bash games that haven't been made yet?
