I have LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE on wax and I listen to it at least three times a year, usually when kids are over, when it is near Christmas time, and when playing cards with gal-pals. I don't love most musicals, but ANNIE is near perfect.REPO Man wrote:

I know what wax cylinders are, I just so rarely see people just say "wax" to refer to them. Usually it seems they're talking about vinyl.MrPopo wrote:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phonograph_cylinderAppleQueso wrote:Vinyl, dude.REPO Man wrote: "On wax"?
So unless Luke actually has a bunch of cylinders he regularly throws on (I can't say I'd be completely surprised, honestly) I'm going to assume he means vinyl.

I never cared much for Annie, but I am intrigued by the remake with a mostly black cast that's being worked on. Jay Z is writing the songs, so you know the music will be interesting, at least.

Ticked: Aquafresh "Extreme Clean" tastes like Vapor Rube. Yuckers.

Center stage on the mic.
And we're puttin' it on wax,
It's the neeeeewwwwww style"

If it's on vinyl, just say vinyl. Not everyone here rocks out to analog. I would love to, since a lot of old stuff (the Radioactive Dreams soundtrack, Sue Saad and the Next's debut/only album) is stuck on analog.

It's not that hard. If you can find a working record player (or just invest in a new one like I did), you can find tons of good stuff at any thrift store for practically nothing.
