There's a little op shop (thrift) round the corner from my house. Its one of only a couple in my town that is still a little bit old school when it comes to pricing. I've only ever found books there really, maybe a few odds and ends, like a chair and a huge plastic toy aircraft carrier with lights and sounds. Never have I seen anything gaming related though. I went past after close yesterday and looked through their window and saw the grey edge of a PS2 case. I decided I'd check it out and had some time this morning, so I went in and this is what I found:
(sorry if my horrible phone camera causes eye strain - it's all i have presently)
Image

Image
GC:
spyro (complete)
Zelda Windwaker/Ocarina (sadly has no Windwaker disc, instead it had:)
The Sims Bustin Out (disc only)
Pokemon Colosseum (has the instructions but not the memory card)
Goldeneye Rogue Agent (complete)

PS2: (all complete with discs OK)

Ace Combat
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Killzone
Jak 3

And Xbox - The Warriors (no manual)

The price for all this plus a Johnny Cash record? a tenner.

Then when I got home, what was awaiting me in the letter box but this little gem from the forum's own Marurun??:

I haven't searched through the guide to see if I got any rares yet - nor have I downloaded the actual game, but my kids already played with them for an hour so they've already paid for themselves. I spent about $100 for 50 funkey's and 3 portals, the rest should be here this week.
At just under two bucks apiece, very good score! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the collection. What is under the towel?

I picked up some more Funkeys recently as well. Strange coincidence my latest purchase also included the Target store exclusive Adventure Set; the three Hawaiian theme Funkeys that look different from the standard mold. Good catch, especially the little guy with the grey "Feather". That fragile sword sometimes is broken off and missing. I see Nibble (big teeth), if it is black, that is also rare.

Do any of your sets come with install CDs? I'm interested in acquiring all the CD install disc revisions, I posted a couple of versions of the program as well as PDFs, all download linked back in the Funkeys Guide.

I got some whatever finds

If you live in the US and near a 99 Cents only store you can get some PSP/UMD movies.

They've had some in the past.

but this time they got some horror movies and other stuff

Dollar each.

They also had copies of The FOG, and The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

If youre into this?

Very nice haul, especially on the Musha. That style pad is better than an official one IMHO as you can reach the analog and Dpad without hand shuffles, plus it is a more durable potentiometer.

Yeah, I have been looking for one of those super pads. That was a nice goodwill find. I never find stuff at goodwill.
