Ok, our first game together.

Shining Force 2!

Since this is the first game, whoever wants to start early can. Post if you are participating and on which platform you are playing it on.

Hmm, I have the Gen cart, 360 Sonic collection, and on the Wii VC. I am trying to decide which way to play it this time...

Did you play and finish Shining Force 1 for TR?

I played the hell out of this in middle school, so it is very approachable and simple while still being fun.

No, I wasn't able to participate in that one, I was really busy with work at the time as I recall.

I did play SF1 on my own years ago, but I never finished it. I got stuck on some battle or another.

I'll give SF2 an honest shot. I'm glad to hear its not too overwhelming. I don't know what it is, but I just have a hard time with these games in general.

Even FF Tactics, which I hear people deride as being easy, was a major effort for me to finish when I played it way back when. That game beat me senseless.

I probably just suck.

For some reason, I thought that this game was on the Sega Genesis Collection (PS2)...

I have the original cart, but I always worry about the battery giving out on me when I play an RPG on an old system...Also, I am much more likely to play portable RPGs. Is there a legal, portable version of this game for a relatively modern system?

If not, I may have to rock it '90s style by firing up the original cart in my Nomad...

I'm down for playing this but I"m gonna have to emulate it as I don't own any cart or repacked version of it for another system.

Just curious: Is this game a direct sequel to Shining Force 1? Will I be missing anything having not playing the first?
