Haha nah, Shining Force 2 was on my list too. I have actually completed or nearly completed, TO, OB, FFT, and SF2. So no real preference for me. That being said, I do think FFT is the worst of those 4 I just listed. Story is pretty good, but combat is broken later on.

All of those are Japanese, you should've gone out on a limb and chosen Jagged Alliance or Pools of Radiance! :D
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Yeah, both of those I have been meaning to play at some point. They can also potentiall reappear under the western RPG list.

I was hoping this may help me knock off some of my backlog in an organized fashion, but I also had to select some favorites as a good baseline for others to play too.

It would be nice to have some sort of rotational system. One year do Japanese, the next do Western. Each year's pick should be different from the last at key points.

I suppose we could... I am just making the schedule now. But since this will be the first game, I dont see why we cant start while waiting on the other voting.

Well, I'll see if I like Shining Force tomorrow. Even though Together RPG is a cool idea, I'm still picky about what I throw 30 hours into.

Shining Force is awesome. Shining Force 2 is actually the game that really got me hooked on RPGs back when I was in 6th grade.

I will probably be playing games or RPGs that may not be my preference later on depending on the voting. I am typically not big into the Action RPGs, but TR got me playing Ys and I really enjoyed it.

I know of another strategy RPG that we missed: Vandal Hearts.
