Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt. ;) (I got a near-mint copy about 2 years ago for around $60. I loved the game so much, I 100%ed it twice.)

Also, that store had a massive collection of Anime VHS tapes, including complete sets for Ranma 1/2 and Slayers (both of which I intend to get at some point) for $2 per tape, and even less if you buy in bulk like I did! :D

So a friend of mine tells me off hand the other day that he has all of his old Nintendo and Genesis games stored in a box in his garage, and asked if I might be interested in them, to which I reply of course! I then kind of forgot and didnt think much of it. Today he hits me up asking if I am home, because he got his stuff out and wanted to bring it over. I didnt expect much, but was excited none the less. He gets here and opens the box only to reveal a treasure trove of Genesis and NES goodness!

Genesis all CIB, the standout titles to me were PS III, Zombies Ate my Neighbors, Rocket Knight Adventures, Toe Jam and Earl. Let me know if any of these others are gems:

Loose Genesis, very few sports titles in this box, what you see here is it:

NES, most have sleeves, many have manuals with them, there are a lot of titles in here I have never heard of:

2 Genesis's and one NES, all hookups for consoles. He said this stuff has been in storage for 15 years, I hooked up the nes and threw in SMB3 and it started first button press!

various controllers:

He asked what I thought it was all worth, and being a friend and all, and not knowing a lot of the games it was hard to even say a price, I dont want to low ball him, and he said he would be fine with giving me a deal. We decided on $100, and he said I could pay him whenever, and not to worry about it. Based on some quick estimates this lot is worth well over $100 I imagine. He also said there is another box he needs to find that had gameboy stuff in it, so I am hopeful about that now!

Been buying some cheap PS1, Saturn and NeoGeo CD games here in Kyoto, in the 2nd-hand Book Off stores. You don't usually see rarer games for sale, but occasionally there are some decent offers...

Image

Most of those were around 500 to 900 yen ($5 to $9), apart from DoDonPachi, which was about $25. Nice box art on the Japanese RayCrisis, too.

The Samurai Spirits & Fatal Fury 3 discs were only 100 yen ($1!) each; I think G:MOTW was about 400 or 500 yen, while Elevator Action Returns was 900 yen. A pretty good deal, since I've seen that going for over $50 on ebay...

yep. this.

that Dune game is one of the first RTS games on a console. it's pretty alright if you're into that sort of thing.

That is the best condition game in the box, it looks like it was never played. I will have to check it out though.

Third flea market of 2013...

PS2 Harvest Moon Special Edition €4
PS2 Jak X €3

DVD box Ring - The Complete Evil - Special 4 Disk Set €1

Meh, the place was crawling with resellers -I spotted at least 4 of them- and I paid €22,80 for public transport. So this was a bad day...

good point, i didn't even notice that. the cardboard boxed games are really hard to find in decent shape and that one looks super minty.
