Kinstones are only in Minish Cap, so I'm guessing that one.o.pwuaioc wrote: Is that in both or only one? Don't you get a lot of this even in Ocarina?
Every Zelda since OOT has had a naggy buddy though. I've never really been particularly bothered by any of them personally (not even Navi or Fi), but eh.

Hell yeah. LOTR/D&D/World of Warcraft-type of fantasy ftw. "Clean looking" scifi is almost always boring, that's why the original Star Wars movies were so greatBoneSnapDeez wrote:No way! I can't get enough of dragons, swords, sorcery, goblins, wizards, etc... I eat that shiz right up. I do like classic 80s/90s sci-fi games like Phantasy Star, modern day stuff like Mass Effect kinda bores me.BRIK wrote:Fantasy games are boring (sci-fi all the way, yo!).

Yeah that's how I feel.Menegrothx wrote:"Clean looking" scifi is almost always boring
I like futuristic sci-fi that looks dated. Is that some sort of contradiction?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Especially Minish Cap. It's like playing an interactive movie -- you never really get to think or decide for yourself. The sidekick buddy thing is aggravating in all of them, yes, but the hat takes the cake for flat-out ruining the game. In Wind Waker, Ocarina and Twilight, it's just an annoyance.o.pwuaioc wrote:Is that in both or only one? Twilight Princess is so linear that it doesn't really belong in the same series. Maybe it's not just the linearity, but it doesn't feel like a Zelda title at all.
I have nightmares about that hat. HEY LILY! YOU'RE GOING TO DREAM ABOUT ME! (Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!)
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Not really. As awesome as Star Trek TNG is, I prefer Deep Space Nine because it's not all shiny and squeaky clean. The universe looks lived in in that show and that asthetic appeals to me more as a viewer because it seems closer to what the reality is likely to be if space travel ever becomes the norm. I think the 2009 film strikes a nice balance between the two styles.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I like futuristic sci-fi that looks dated. Is that some sort of contradiction?
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Why can't there be room for both? I love both genres!BRIK wrote:Fantasy games are boring (sci-fi all the way, yo!).

All this sci fi and fantasy talk got me yearning for a star wars/LoTR cross over

Yeah, Portal and Portal 2 were already mentioned. They're definitely for me the rare exception.
