awwwwwwesome

You can actually get 3 options in that version, right?

I actually just picked up Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus for the Saturn.

It was released 4/24. Looks like Play-Asia is the only place that has it now in a Standard and Limited edition. One review I read compared it favorably to Axelay, which is saying something very good.

After playing some Varth, I remembered I had a game going in Raptor: Call of the Shadows. Tango Sector, Stage 5. If only the weapons weren't so darn expensive. The boss beat the living tar out of me

Another Sunday morning of shoot em' ups for me. I haven't done the breakfast and bullet dodging™ thing in awhile. Thunder Force Gold Pack 2 (for Thunder Force IV), Einhänder, Hyper Duel, Mars Matrix, Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus, and Gigawing 2 all in rotation. I usually play a single credit and swap to another game and keep switching out until I'm bored.

Some Japanese PS1 games I've bought in various Book Off stores around Kyoto. You don't usually see really rare stuff in there, but you get some good deals now and again...

RayCrisis box art is pretty cool. Most of them were about 500 to 900 yen (about $5 to $9), apart from DDP, which was about $25.

I just came off another successful "Shmup Weekend", where I take the focus off the Shmup of the month and re-visit high score threads on the Shmups sub-forum that I need better scores on. So I did this weekend:

Darius Gaiden (entered the thread with a good score)
Espgaluda (entered the thread with a good score)
Gunbird (updated my previous score by 60k)
Chaos Field (updated my previous score very nicely)
Zed Blade (entered the thread with a good score)

Thanks! I also got Elevator Action Returns for the Saturn, which was only 950 yen ($9.50 or £6). Apparently it goes for a lot more than that; I had a look on ebay and it seems to be valued around £40-50.
