On Stage 4, there is a hidden ryu that you can shoot out of a tree. He drops items, but let them float on and keep shooting him until he reaches the height of his Shoryuken, which will cause him to drop a 1up.

I knew I saw Ryu do a Shoryuken on Stage 4!! I just thought I was freaking out, or they added it to the CCC version.

I just came to exclaim that I saw Ryu do a shoryuken on level 4, and now learn that I've been beaten to it! I'll get the one-up next time. Not a bad game, I hit 400k in my first real playthrough (after a couple of practice rounds/tinkering with settings). I can see easily going on further than where I made it, though, and make more liberal use of bombs!

Damn Ty, Stage 12 with Fixed Pods? How long did you go without picking up any pods? I'd have to imagine that, if you were using pods a majority of the time, that the bullets would be very fast.

My old standby - I felt like if nothing else, I could get to stage 2 with this beast, granted wouldn't have any tunes. I strapped on my helmet, fired up my cockpit, got ready for takeoff..."Kapersky does not recognize this file". Whoa, that sounds tricky, not sure how to score that, tried an end around and redownloaded the 3.0 beast, but no go.

Ok, ok now this one was challenging - this run never really took off, he wanted me to install an extra downloader ship called "livid" which my windows 8 co-pilot refused to do, said it was a suicide mission, even though I told him I wanted to "ignore" his warnings.

This was a close one, it really had a nice intro screen, I was able to dodge into the user interface and get all my VLX responding but I went to far into the black and decided to tell me "this rom is missing one more chp somthing or others"

Never was I expecting this kind of fierce competition out of the gate. Went full PRO for the first 3 stages (Pods-R-Overrated (No Pods)) and was it worth the bonus? Perhaps. I can't deny their usefulness on the Stage 4 boss. (26k bonus, no weird extra score milking ).
