He often tells me that he's proud that I'm (semi)successful and being more responsible than he was, so I guess that kind of makes up for it. I should really call him...

:D
Last day of work, and it's been a good one. Lots of great jokes going around the chat-rooms at work tonight, and I'm not doing as bad as I normally do.

EDIT:
Spoke too soon... Just got handed a stack of email issues. I suck at troubleshooting email. FML :(

:D
PT Cruiser is doing great, but definitely needs more work.

:(
Haven't felt money woes like this since we moved here. Always seems like I end up spending all the "extra" money I get. Anytime a little cash rolls this way, something blows up.
Last day of work for good or just for the weekend?

Ticked - Wife got in a car wreck last night. Car is in the shop until next week at the earliest. She is very rattled. So after my 14 hour work day yesterday, I went to pick her up shaking on the side of the road. And after a night of no sleep, well we are back at work the next day.

Smile - My package from Jmustang should be at the house any minute now, so tonight will be a quick round of TMNT 2 and a couple goes at Lifeforce.

This happened to our house. We have wood shingles, and a woodpecker absolutely laid into them a few years ago. We thought we could scare it off by placing one of those plastic owls by our house, but (to taunt us, I suppose) the woodpecker pecked three holes in the plastic owl. (I guess he wasn't too scared of it...) After that, however, he - thankfully - never came back.

I scared the guy off with an unloaded daisy air pistol, but my yard is very bird friendly (multiple feeders, a birdbath, bird houses, etc) so he'll probably return.

No idea what the repair costs will be, but I have a friend who owns a gutter company, so he might provide some leads, and hopefully discounts. On the bright side, it's part of the house, so my insurance will be chipping in.

I tell you, home ownership is a thing of beauty, but there is always something that needs work. "With a big ass house comes big ass responsibilities".

Hopefully no injuries, yes?

Suing for PTSD in car accidents seems to be a growing trend.

Well, based on the small amount of research I've done, it looks like there's at least one bus that goes downtown from across the bridge, but I don't know if it goes any further than dropping people off at wherever the bus stop is. That's all I'd really need, though, as I would want to walk when I got there anyway (downtown Charleston is great for that). Of all the places I've been, Charleston is one of the few that made me feel like I'd really want to live there.

Smile: My Dad's coming into town today (he lives in Monticello, FL) and we're meeting him for lunch at the Smokehouse. He said he'd try and come see us more often now that he's retired and so far, he's lived up to that. :)
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

My wife is fine, the lady that hit her is in the hospital with pains on her side and back. She crossed over a solid white in an intersectin so it is her fault completely, but still my wife is worried about lawsuit possibilities. According to the officer at the crash, the lady was talking to the EMTs about suing us.

Man what a bunch of shit. Why are people in this country so sue happy? If you sneeze slightly louder than what somebody deems appropriate next thing you know you'll be in court.

Good, hopefully no lingering issues once she's ok.

Sometimes I wish I was a judge just so I could tell people "No, you're fucking stupid and have no common sense. Why don't you pay this fine for wasting everyone's time and go home."
