truer words have ne'er been spoken in this thread or any other.
also, here's a nice article on the "impending doom" of re-thrash:

Aha! A Doom blog that isn't Doommantia!
Check out:
theobelisk.net
Just found it, but it seems pretty solid. Lots of live reviews.
EDIT: It seems as though, through playing with Advanced search on Metal Archives, I've found so much more use out of it, although there is still a LOT of digging... now to get money for CD's.

So I just picked these two albums up:
Thanks again, GSX! This album kicks ass!
Anybody else like Ghost? I love this band.

that havok record is near-perfect. ghost is intriguing but it's not really what i'd call a "metal" record, i guess. too poppy or whatever. it's good, though, i like it.
been listening to Vektor all morning.

Ghost is alright. Musically, its all good, but lyrically I don't feel it.
By the way, you can go fuck yourself if you like Ghost B.C. (Relevant link to explain joke:
http://www.metalinjection.net/metal-mer ... -butt-plug )
I've been looking at some stuff, and I'm beginning to think I'm missing something as a metalhead: not enough band loyalty. My few headbanger friends are very band loyal, as is my sister in non-metal music. I think I need to get more this way, focus on becoming a big fan rather than being someone who can listen to a bunch of crap without knowing much besides the big stuff. I think I need to find my niche and stick in it.
