"Shmup" is far more elegant!

I actually really enjoy the AVGN character, and Rolfe's juvenile humor. I watch a lot of his other short films and really enjoy his work as a whole. I hate it when people rag on me about watching his stuff. Although I agree with a few points he makes here and there, I watch AVGN for entertainment and lulz. Same goes for a lot of the "reviewers" I watch.AppleQueso wrote:AVGN's a character. People really shouldn't take his opinions as gospel, that's not the point of him. Rolfe himself has said in interviews that he doesn't actually hate a lot of those games as much as his character does.
If I want to know if a game is a good or bad, I'll play it. If I want to laugh my ass off, I'll watch somebody else play it on YouTube. meh...

Pretty much this. Sure, sometimes he pushes things a bit too far and gets a bit on the annoying side, but as a whole I'm always eager to watch anything new he puts out.jinx wrote: I actually really enjoy the AVGN character, and Rolfe's juvenile humor. Some of his best stuff though, if you ask me, are when he more or less drops the humor for a while and starts delving into cool history or trivia about whatever game or system he's reviewing. The Swordquest episode is pretty neat for that.

Yeah Rolfe's series of Castlevania reviews was pretty awesome too.

I actually really liked FF6's story. The fact that the villain *minor spoiler* actually succeeds for a bit really made it stand out from other JRPGs. I agree with ZeroAX that Kefka was a better villain than Sephiroth. Some people may say that he was too one- dimensional but to be honest, that is what made him so much more terrifying and a stronger villain. He didn't need some really drawn out character development or backstory, he was just plain evil and I liked that.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:I've played most of the Final Fantasy games...
Which ones do you think had a good story?

I think FF6 had more awesome moments than most other series do combined. The plot was all over the place, but the character work and setting was awesome. I'll never forget the Floating Continent.

Yeah, exactly. I like a lot of his videos and his character. I just don't like when people take him too seriously.AppleQueso wrote:AVGN's a character.
