On the final dungeon in Soul Hackers. If I could use one word to describe the last few bosses it would be 'cheap'. I take out all the regular enemies just fine, but the bosses sometimes put down protagonist in one or two hits.

Just started Final Fantasy 1 for PSP. My party is a fighter, thief, red mage, and white mage.

Gon' get you Garland. D:<

Gurumin

Ran through the first couple of dungeons. First one wasn't too bad, the second one was a bit annoying as I kept falling in water (which hurts you). I really hate the camera angles, this is a game that's just begging to be in 2D.

Gonna try to squeeze in an hour of play time every night until I'm finished.

Should have played it on hard.

I am a bit surprised you like shining force and other tactical RPGs but not FE. While not my favorite, I have it right behind the ogre and shining games. I think there may be a big jump in difficulty from normal to hard as they tried to make the game easier and more accessible with this release.

I really wish the Langrisser games had been released in English - they're right up there with the best Ogre Battle, Fire Emblem, and Shining Force titles.

Well 1 is, and I have a Langrisser 2 repro on the Gen.

They are good but I think the belong on a tier right below.

I'm playing on Normal/Casual and find the difficulty really ramps up with the paralogues. I had one recently (I think it was Paralogue 11 or 12) and I couldn't beat it. I had to load an earlier save and level up my dudes.

I am on hard casual and found it more difficult early on. But once I leveled up my guys, my team is a powerhouse. I have all but 2 children now. Should get the last 2 soon.

Awesome! I am getting them now too, although I only have 3 right now (2 of which I actually had to fight for). I'm around Chapter 15 in the main story while I pause and get the children.

So ... can you give me some tips for the Paralogue I'm talking about? It's one, where you get a guy on a wyvern, and it just has a crap ton of enemies, archers and wyvern mounted ones and several bridges to different islands. My guys just get tore up on the main bridge.
