What was the last movie you've seen?

He didn't rave about it, but he certainly enjoyed it and commented that it was Bay's best movie since THE ROCK. So yeah, lots of people like it and it isn't struggling at the box office either.
I'm curious to see it simply because it doesn't look like his usual fare and I'm always interested when a director who's known for one type of movie does something a little different (like when Kevin Smith did Red State, for instance).

Oh, you'll know it is a Bay movie.

This is an exaggeration, but Pain & Gain is like making light of the Boston Marathon bombing, and trying to get the audience to side with the Tsarnaev brothers. "Oh those crazy Chechnyans, they can't catch a break. Oh! Didja' see that? He just ran over his own brother! Hilarious! I doubt this ends well for these lovable lunks, ho ho!".

Simply wasn't for me.

I caught that, but I took the rest seriously.

So he's a nerd, but what functional reason would he have to wear his glasses this way? I assume he's not an idiot? :?

He couldn't afford a monocle?

Of course things will be exaggerated in comic book movies, but I agree that that shot is too much. However, no guarantee he wears his glasses like that at any point in the movie.

Pretty positive they are going with the "Ultimate" version of Electro, who is a character I know nothing about. I'm also pretty the movie will make an inside joke about Electro's costume.

Interesting read, Pulsar, but I think they're sounding the death knell too early. Even though it made a respectable amount of money, Watchmen was perceived as a giant flop and there were fears then that its failure signalled the end of superhero films as a major genre. As we know, however, the genre survived and is currently doing better than ever. Will the joyride eventually end? Probably, but I think we've still got a few more good years before that happens. And even if everything else goes away, I don't see Marvel quitting now that they've established themselves as respectable filmmakers.

And it's possible those photos are from the middle of a shot that involves him getting roughed up and not having the wherewithal to fix his glasses.
