In my perfect world, The closer Sonic looks to the way he does in the Sonic CD amines, te better-- and exists in a post-apocalyptic world once lain to waste by the rampant pollution and irresponsibility of mankind, but slowly restoring itself back to the natural order... the single remaining human being the psychotic egomaniac named Dr. Robotnik whom, in a display of humanity that is both admirable and shameful all at once, preserves the industrious legacy of his (and our) species on a planet which will no longer tolerate him... oh, and throw in more Metal Sonic, which opens up a whole new Human Nature vs. Mother Nature dichotomy. None of these concepts requiring the employment of so much of the over-bearing cut-scenes and friends and voices and beastiality that we've come to find in more recent years.

Quick question about SA:
I passed up the 2nd upgrade for Gama and was wondering if I could go back and get it after leaving the EggCarrier?

So....are the Archie Sonic comics any good? When I lived in the states, I loved it, but I was a kid back then.

From what I remember, when I read it, Sonic had already defeated Robotnik, and he was traveling the world to defeat a wizard, when he met a really short Morgan Freeman.... I mean scientist, who told him something about the power rings, and he showed sonic a cave with many many power rings....and then I left the states, and you rarely see American comics being sold in Europe (companies started publishing DC/Marvel comics again, after the boom in popularity those brands had with the movies).

I liked that arc, at least what I read of it. Also the Knuckles comics were pretty good, with a TON more backstory than I thought would be possible for the sonic universe. At least for a kid. you guys think I'd like them as an adult? (and huge sonic 90s fans. loved Sonic SatAM, and even Sonic Underground, which was basically Sonic SatAM the musical)

I vaguely remember that. That was about the time I stopped reading them actually. . . The last one I bought for a long time was issue 74 and I think robotnik came back in that one. I think that was around 99 and they were incorporating the sonic adventure designs into it. I only bought one after that and it was a couple years ago just for the hell of it. They had shadow in it by then.

The US version was more polished than the JP version. They later went back and released a special edition japanese version which was just the more polished US version.

I think they called it the "International" edition. IMO, the most notable change besides being multi-lingual was a MUCH improved camera.

So, I'm not sure if I want to check out Sonic Adventure 2. I didn't care for even the early parts of SA1, though I didn't get far because I got bored, and then when I got confused, it wasn't worth the effort to figure out. I'm pretty sure it's just because it's a 3D Sonic, but I'm curious about ZeroAx's devotion to SA2. Would I - who so loved the original trilogy (considering 3 and K to be 1 and the same) - like SA2 if I didn't care for SA1 at all? How, besides buying and trying, can I figure out whether it's for me?
