One little thing I enjoyed about this game also, before I forget -- the radio chatter between the enemy soldiers updating each other about the situation at hand. Not only did that mean I knew what was coming up, but it also served to move the story a bit.

Ugh... This game has been kicking my ass.
I've been playing all night, and I'm at the helicopter bit. Tried running past the first time, but eventually got mowed down anyway. Tried shooting it down, but didn't last very long. This is my third attempt. I think I'm going to try to just run through again. I made it further the first time around.

Only got to play for an hour or so yesterday. My daughter was having a hard time falling asleep, and the sound of those damn Loading screens + Me mashing the buttons frantically and nearly tossing it at the wall when I forgot to save (again), was keeping her up. Today I managed to get back to the point I screwed up the night before and saved.

Gonna try my best to get some game time in after or before work so I can finish the game this week. It's freaking amazing so far, and I'm slightly disappointed that I didn't play it sooner. Although, I'm happy that my first experience with it has been on the Dreamcast. Still using the controller, and after getting used to it, it's quite comfortable. My only gripe is when I try to jump a big gap, but turn on my flashlight instead... ~splat~

You're so very close now. It won't take you 2 days. I expect an update!

The one with the portal at the very top? If you're not getting enough jump height, try hitting your jump button at the same time you hit the pad.

Try NOT to get teleported by staying in cover much of the time. Try to jump in/on his head and blast the brain to bits. Try to find the jump pads that shoot you highest in the main room (some shoot lower). Use your highest powered guns as well...
