Core Grafx power supply

Post by dtrack »

Finally decided to get a Gore Grafx but i'm not sure what kind of power supply should i get.
Get the original and a stepdown is always an option but i am not a fan of converters. Does anyone know the european TG suppy would work with the Coregrafx?

I use my Core in the US with a simple multi-adapter. I just made sure I have the right tip, an appropriate voltage setting, and enough amperage. Works just fine.

Does this mean i can use my Mega Drive/Mega CD1 adapter?
However i'd like to have an official NEC PSU which is PAL.
I have found one at consolegoods.

220V AC 50hz 10.5V DC and 780mA. Can anyone confirm this is OK for the Core?

Figured I'd ask this here rather than start a new thread. I found a pretty good deal on a regular white PC Engine and I'm wondering if I can use a US Turbografx AC adapter with it or if I need a different one. Also, can I use any RF adapter with it or did the PC Engine have a custom one? Lastly, which channel would I need to put my TV on to play it? Does anyone know?
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

I believe the white PCE uses standard RF out, though you'll have to set your TV to channel 94 or 95 or something like that. Japanese RF out uses different channels than in the US. The white PCE does not have AV out, though you can mod it to add that functionality.

If you get a Core or Core II, you have to have a custom AV out cable and cannot simply use a standard RF out cable.
