It's not as easy as it sounds, and is still giving me some weird glitches. You basically have to set-up a "smart playlist" with a LOT of rules. This keeps shows from running twice in a row, allowing some shows to be random, while others need to run in order, etc.AppleQueso wrote:I wasn't aware you could do this actually. I've been meaning to set up an XMBC box for a long time, I might have to do it at least for the cartoons and anime I own.
Most of the time, we leave it on my daughter's playlist. It consists of shows that don't really need to play in a specific order, and is half educational shows and half 90's Cartoon Network/Nick cartoons. I've set-up a few scripts that were supposed to auto-manage the shows and times/days they played, but I'm forced to used an old Mac mini at the moment. I plan on doing a better set-up once I build the new media center box.
