Reminds me of a quote from Les Claypool: "When you're unemployed, the weekends don't mean so much".

Just reinforces the fact that your work schedule basically determines when "time" is valuable.

Ain't it the truth? :)

Actually I think I rather like working graveyard.

Yeah my wife works graveyard shift at the hospital, 3, 12 hour shifts a week and she works every other weekend. So time to her is lost. She has a hard time grasping doing productive things at night when she is normally awake because, "That's just now how you are supposed to do things."

She loves it though and has a blast working that time, plus the pay is great.

Smile: Had a good day yesterday and feeling super motivated to get things done today. Cleaned house and played a lot of Injustice. I'm trying to not suck at fighting games so I'm sticking with the Flash.

Also, I'm having hash browns and churizo and eggs for breakfast.

Frown: There was 7 shots fired at the pot rally at the park yesterday. Some black guy apparently got a bit too angry at another black guy that was there and shot him. Seems like such an odd atmosphere for that kind of thing.

Disappoint-face.jpg: Spending my Sunday doing schoolwork.
Older. Not wiser.

We ended up grabbing a SD Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, and she has barely put them down. She keeps them together and Godzilla goes "Rawr" and Mechagodzilla goes "Tsss". Freakin' adorable.
I need to get my little cousin into kaiju movies sometime. I tried to get him to watch Terror of Mechagodzilla, but he decided to go play with his toys. It'd probably be a better idea to start him off on one of the kid-friendlier ones or Gamera.
Insert clever quote here.

Smile: Another weekend in the books at TJ's. Now it's time for a nap, since my shift started at 4:00AM and got off at 12:00.

Super Big Smile: Birthday on Tuesday, looking forward to some time with my fiancee and a nice dinner. Maybe some Phantasy Star!

Don't get me wrong, I love working graveyard. They tried to move me to days a few weeks ago and I refused. I was just pointing out that time isn't relevant in my schedule. It was a tough transition, and is still confusing when trying to explain things to my family members, but I love it.

Getting kids into Kaiju is difficult. Most of my little brothers don't care for Godzilla much. They seem to fall in love with it, or just find it boring. Right now I periodically put old Showa era Godzilla movies on, and my daughter only stops to watch the fight scenes. I'm not sure if it's something she's going to enjoy later on or not, but I'm taking advantage of it while a I can.
For older kids, I would recommend the movies after The Return of Godzilla. The plots, fights, and "G-Force" in the Hesei era make it much more enjoyable for kids with short attention spans. Even though they normally don't sit through the whole thing, my brothers would frequently start recreating the fight scenes with their action figures while watching these films.

Smile/Tick:
 I want to rip this wisdom tooth out of my jaw. I have the worst headache ever, and I'm out of sick days.
:D Having fun while building my own "TV channel" at home. I have a lot of classic cartoons shuffled around on XBMC. Still adding more every day. Not having much luck in the educational department. I don't like a lot of modern shows, and older ones are hard to find in digital/DVD format.
:) Work is pretty laid back tonight. A bunch of backups and file management.

I wasn't aware you could do this actually. Guessing it's just like a daily playlist that increments the episodes each time it loops or is run?

I've been meaning to set up an XMBC box for a long time, I might have to do it at least for the cartoons and anime I own.
