CLERKS
For probably the hundredth time. Even bought chips and salsa for the sole purpose of making salsa sharks.
Lets rate 'em:
CLERKS
MALLRATS
CHASING AMY
DOGMA
JAY AND SILENT BOB
CLERKS 2
RED STATE
ZACH AND MIRI
JERSEY GIRL
COP OUT
If "An Evening With" was a movie, it would be my #1.
What was the last movie you've seen?

That was actually harder than expected...
I actually like Jersey Girl quite a lot, despite all the crap the movie gets. Clerks and Mallrats were/are/always will be my top two. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back comes in third, only because I was actually "allowed" to watch this movie when I was younger (I have no idea why) and Mark Hamill. I didn't really care for Clerks 2 all that much, but it beats the last three by a mile, even if I did enjoy Zack and Miri the first time I watched it.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
J&SB was a blatant thank you film to Kevin's audience, which delivered, but fudge if I don't think the bigger the budget, the crappier the final product when it comes to a Kevin Smith film. Kevin is like the dog that finally caught the car but has no idea what to do with it.
I'm a bit surprised so far everyone has put CLERKS as #1.

I agree with you for the most part. J&SB just has a special place for me, and pulls a lot of nostalgic memories. My grandpa would sit down and watch this movie with me every so often with a couple large pizzas. Good times.Luke wrote:J&SB was a blatant thank you film to Kevin's audience, which delivered, but fudge if I don't think the bigger the budget, the crappier the final product when it comes to a Kevin Smith film. Mallrats comes really close to being at the top. It's hard for me to pick between them.

I don't really feel like ranking all of them, but Clerks would definitely be #1 for me as well.

I really enjoyed red state a lot more than I expected. Not just as a fan of kevin smith films, but just as a fan of films. Wish we got the real ending though haha...would have been insane.
As a side note, my wife loves these movies so much more than I do. Very excited to go check out their tour for the Jay & Silent Bob Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. I got tickets for her and we couldn't be more excited.

That the end times do come, the sky splits open and an Angel comes down and people's heads explode.Pulsar_t wrote:What is this real ending that you speak of?

Yeah, I went to An Evening With Kevin Smith last year in Greenville and he mentioned that they were doing that. It was an awesome night for sure. He gave the aspiring filmmakers present some words of encouragement and told us he was gonna be winding down his own filmmaking because he'd said just about everything he wanted to say and he felt it was time to pass the torch to the next generation of indies. He said he was going to try and come back and bring Mewes with him next time, so I hope he's able to work that into his schedule at some point.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Very excited to go check out their tour for the Jay & Silent Bob Super Groovy Cartoon Movie.
