What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
New FPS time!
Rainbow Six Lockdown (Gamecube)
The engine runs a lot smoother, there is now auto aim as well as auto detection of enemies in the distance so you won't get as many cheap shots as you did on RS3, new squad members in addition to Weber, Price, and Loiselle who make their return, unlockable new weapons and even cheats by collection briefcases in each level (making exploration a plus!), and a new HUD that works a lot better than the old one. Issuing commands seems to be a little more difficult here so far, however.
I know it's not an FPS, but I'm really enjoying the new Splinter Cell game too -- every new one seems to get better and better.

I'm currently playing ZombiU and have to say that it is HARD! I lasted a good few hours before my first person died. Now, it happens a bit more frequently. I'm on my 6th person, but I don't feel completely helpless.
I am enjoying the crap out of the game. It is a nice balance of challenge and fun. I get pretty far before hitting an obstacle and, with patience am able to overcome it. It really uses the WiiU features wonderfully.

Replaying FEAR 2. Damn, revisiting this one makes me hate 3 even more (if that were even possible!) dunno how they messed the formula up so bad and made a game that visually looked like it should have come out years before FEAR 2.
Just been in the mood for simple corridor FPS action after wrapping up the BFG Doom 3. Think I'll hit up The Darkness II next.

I found the game pretty annoying until you get the radar on the bottom screen, I found it more enjoyable after that.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I'm currently playing ZombiU and have to say that it is HARD! You get the radar on the bottom screen right away at the very beginning of the game.emwearz wrote:I found the game pretty annoying until you get the radar on the bottom screen, I found it more enjoyable after that.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I'm currently playing ZombiU and have to say that it is HARD! At the start you have to tap it, later in game (not too far in) it auto updates by itself and makes a noise when zombies are close by.BogusMeatFactory wrote:You get the radar on the bottom screen right away at the very beginning of the game.emwearz wrote:I found the game pretty annoying until you get the radar on the bottom screen, I found it more enjoyable after that.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I'm currently playing ZombiU and have to say that it is HARD! Unless I am remembering it completely wrong?

Yeah there is an upgrade later on that is always on, but I always enjoyed tapping to ping the environment. I am a dork like that haha.

I never played the Fear series - are the first two essential must-plays you think?Xeogred wrote:Replaying FEAR 2. I think they're great with some top notch combat and AI, best use of slow-mo I've seen in an FPS as well. They're dirt cheap so I'd say check them out.
